About

Hey there!

I’m Michael Webber, a technology enthusiast, recreational runner, and community media professional. As you explore this site, you’ll find a diverse array of blog posts primarily focused on tech and the joys of life.

Professional Endeavors

Since January 2000, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Executive Director of Foxboro Cable Access (FCA), a non-profit 501(c)(3) Public, Education, and Government (PEG) Access TV Station in Foxborough, MA. Our channels are available on both Comcast and Verizon Fios cable systems, bringing local content to our community.

My expertise extends beyond traditional cable broadcasting. I frequently collaborate with various organizations, offering my skills in live streaming and video production to help them reach wider audiences and create engaging content.

Academic Background

For nearly two decades, I shared my passion for media production as an Adjunct Instructor at a local college. This experience allowed me to mentor and inspire the next generation of media professionals, equipping them with practical skills and industry insights.

Community Involvement

Outside of my professional life, I’m active in various community groups, such as Scouting America. Over the years, I’ve taken on various leadership roles, including Cubmaster for my son’s Pack and more recently as Committee Chair for our Scouts BSA Troop. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding.

Personal Projects

When I’m not working or volunteering, you’ll likely find me tinkering with home projects. Currently, my son and I are embarking on an exciting venture: creating an automated outdoor Christmas light show for our house. This project perfectly blends my love for technology with the joy of creating memorable experiences for our neighborhood. Feel free to explore my blog posts, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you share similar interests or have questions about community media, running, or tech projects.

Welcome aboard!
