My family enjoys hiking, all our summer vacations to date (my oldest is 11) have brought us to the White Mountains. Over the years we have watched our kids grow up in a family friendly campground (Fransted in Franconia, NH) and enjoy the area. The cost of much, much lower than any resort and the experience of enjoying and respecting the outdoors will hopefully remain with them as they become adults. Fond memories of their youth.
